NafarAbad

Naferabad neighbourhood is located in the 20th district of Tehran municipality. This neighbourhood is one of the old neighbourhoods of Tehran and currently has an area of one square kilometre and about 9900 people live in it. For several years, Tehran Municipality has been buying and then demolishing residential houses in the neighbourhood for renovation and change.
However, some people are attached to their memories in their place
of residence and despite all the hardships and insecurity created in the place, they are not ready to sell their house and live in Neferabad.

This situation prompted me to prepare a documentary series about the place where these people live in this neighbourhood in the fall of 2016.​​​​​​​
