Looking Up

Looking Up was created over several spring days marked by wind and rain. Each photograph faces the covered roof of a courtyard, where a stretched fabric serves as a temporary shelter while gradually yielding to the forces of weather.

Rather than documenting a single event, the series observes an ongoing process of transformation. The tension of the fabric, the pressure of the wind, the weight of the rain, and the changing light continually redefine the boundary between shelter and openness.

The sky is never fully revealed. Instead, it appears only through tears, folds, and shifting surfaces. Looking Up reflects on a space that exists between concealment and revelation, stillness and movement—a quiet observation of change as it unfolds.
